Diane Heinke Hutzler, 83, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 14, 2023. She was born on November 30, 1940, to Willard Louis and Helen Janis Heinke in Kansas City, Missouri. On June 13, 1964, she married Charles Elmo Hutzler in Dallas, Texas, embarking on a journey filled with love, laughter, and shared experiences.
Diane dedicated 25 years of her life to shaping young minds as a 3rd-grade teacher for Condit Elementary School and St. Theresa Catholic School. Her passion for education left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students who fondly remember her as a caring and dedicated teacher.
Diane graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas, and furthered her education at the University of Oklahoma. A proud member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, she cherished the bonds of sisterhood and the values they upheld.
Diane's interests were as diverse as her warm personality. She found joy in baking, nurturing her garden, immersing herself in literature, and hosting memorable gatherings for family and friends. Her enthusiasm extended to cheering passionately for her beloved Oklahoma Sooners and Houston sports teams. Diane's love for her canine companion, Dottie, added an extra layer of joy to her life.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Stacey Hutzler Annaratone (Brent Annaratone) of Flower Mound, TX, her son, Charles Michael Hutzler (Gerard Brown) of Houston, TX, and her brother, Frederic W. Heinke (Georgianna Heinke) of Dallas, TX. Her legacy lives on through her two cherished grandchildren, Reese Annaratone and Reagan Annaratone.
Diane is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Elmo Hutzler, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, companionship, and cherished memories.
