Dennis Lawrence passed away peacefully the 2nd of August 2015 at his home in Katy, Texas. He was born the 19th of July 1958 in Big Spring, Texas to Kelley Edward Lawrence, Jr. and Joyce Edwards Lawrence. He was a faithful husband, loving father and loyal friend to many. Those who knew Dennis will always remember his contagious smile, quick humor, caring wisdom, loving blue eyes and his unwavering, staunch faith in God.
He loved music, gardening, golf, theater, film and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for others. Dennis was a master story-teller, a talent learned from his father. Dennis loved all things Texas, and was an avid sports fan. His greatest sports passion was reserved for his beloved Texas Longhorns.
Dennis valued the friendships he developed, and once he met you, you were forever a part of his life-time circle. Above all, Dennis was devoted to his family, and held a special love for his "girls", wife, Kimberly and daughter, Jennifer, as well as his mother, father and brothers, David and Donald. His greatest legacy to his family is his strong faith in Christ expressed in the love and kindness shown through the years. He modeled remarkable perseverance and grace. We are all so much more enriched by having had Dennis in our lives.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until half past seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 7th of August in the grand foyer of Geo.
