Dennis R. Johnson passed away April 19, 2018 after several years battling COPD.
He is survived by longtime companion and husband, Timmie Boutin; his children from a previous marriage, Erich, Caroline, Kirsten and Kurt; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Clare and parents, Martha and Elmer.
Born in Michigan in 1938, Dennis grew up in Pontiac and eventually graduated from both the University of Michigan and University of Detroit with a J.P. He went on in life to found several companies, practice title law in both Florida and Texas, and eventually retired from the real estate business in 2001. He was 79.
Services to honor the life of Dennis R. Johnson will be held Thursday, April 26 at 2pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Public visitation will precede the service at 1pm. A brief coffee reception will be held directly after the service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the American Lung Association or the COPD Foundation.
