Debra Lynn "Debbie" Stringer Smith

Debra was a nurse by trade for 30 years, and a “Martha Stewart” by heart with her countless arts and crafts projects. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debra is preceded in death by her grandmother, Essie Lee Cooper; father, Jimmie Dale Stringer and stepfather, John Scott Wetzel. She is survived by her mother, Yvonne Wetzel and husband Jerry Goetzman; children, Leigh Danielle Tobias and husband Mark, David Wayne Brackin and wife Tracey, Dustin Kyle Smith and wife Eunice; stepchildren, Wayne Scott Brackin and wife Jill, Kimberly Ann Brackin and William Shannon Brackin; grandchildren, Johnathan Robert Samuel Tindle, Jacob Cole Scott Tindle, Hunter Wayne Brackin, Katherine Elizabeth Brackin, Quinten Kyle Smith, and Sloan Iliana Smith; sisters, Kathy Hopson and husband Steve, Marlos Gilliam and husband Mike, Barby Seigel and James, Cindy Harris and husband Robert; brothers, Dennis Stringer and wife Sharon, Jimmie Stringer, Jr. and wife Patt; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where Mr. Bradley Franklin Daricek, will conduct a service celebrating Debbie's life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine, also in Houston..
