David Neil Hicks

David Neil Hicks, Sr., 84, a trusting, kind, gracious man of Houston Texas, departed this life on December 21, 2024. He was born to Ezro and Eva Kelsey Hicks in Matinburg, Texas, and was a descendant of pioneer families of Texas.

He graduated from Pittsburg (Texas) High School in 1959, attended the University of Texas and the University of Houston. Before he retired, Davids was employed by Bank of the Southwest and Bonner and Moore Associates.

Those left to cherish David’s memory are his wife of 62 years, Liz; son, Neil and wife Rosa; daughter, Michelle Relecker and husband Norbert; grandson Ian Relecker and wife Cindy; sister Elise Coker; sister-in-law Camille Hicks, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to join for a celebration of life on Saturday, January 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.

A graveside service officiated by Brother Daniel Anderson will be held at a later date at Matinburg Cemetery, corner of FM 556 and County Road 3320, in Camp County outside Pittsburg. Please select “Get Reminders” tab to receive updates on services.
