Dave Colemon

Charles David Colemon, Jr., known to all as “ Dave”, passed away peacefully on December 29 th, 2010, surrounded by his wife, Mary, children; Cherilyn, Chris, Greg and sister, Donna Verret. Dave was born to Buddy and Mina Ann Colemon on August 16th, 1951 in Port Arthur, Texas, where he lived until graduating from Lamar University with a degree in accounting in 1973. While at college he met his future wife, Mary Elizabeth Hogan, and they started dating in 1970. They were married on New Year’s Eve, 1972, and would start their family in Houston soon after. They moved briefly to Carrolton, TX before settling back down in Houston for good. Dave enjoyed a lengthy career with Texas Commerce and Chase Banks, where he made many life-long friends. In later years he worked as a consultant for banks around the U.S., but he always found the time to make his way into the woods. Dave was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to camp, fish, and canoe, and was happiest when looking at wildlife, particularly through the scope of his rifle. We will truly miss our wonderful husband, father, brother, son, and great friend. Rest in Peace Dadeo!
