Dana Millikan Collins was born on October 20, 1979 in Houston, TX to Steven Dixon and Jocelyn Mukes. She attended several schools in the Houston area. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1998. She later graduated from University of Houston Downtown with a Bachelors of Administration degree in 2012. Dana accepted Christ at an early age at New Day Deliverance Holiness Church. She later renewed her commitment to Christ at New Light Christian Center Church in 1995. In 1996, she was diagnosed with renal failure. Determined to live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. She began to stand in faith for her total healing. In 1997, she received a Kidney transplant from her mother Jocelyn Mukes. The transplant was a success and Dana began a new lease on life. She was employed by Metro June 11, 1999. She started as a dispatcher in the call center routing for Metro Lift. She later became a supervisor in that department. She moved up in the company as a System Coordinator. She had a ton of friends and co-workers to cherish her memory. In December of 1999, she met the love of her life Barry Collins. They were joined in marriage in September of 2005. Tyrek Domio, her nephew was claimed as her own son as Barry and Dana spent a lot of time with him. Last year in August, she was diagnosed with Acanthamoeba. This was a challenge because at the time there was no cure and it was fatal. However, she began her faith fight in earnest standing on the Word of God. She could be found daily listening to the Word of God. She beat all odds fighting the good fight of faith for nine months. On June 5, 2016 Dana went to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her life husband, Barry Collins, mother Jocelyn Mukes, stepfather Wendell Mukes, father Steven Dixon, stepmother Denise Dixon, sister Soniceria Smith, two brothers, Steve Dixon, Theoaplus Dixon, two step sisters Kiavonni Johnson, Candance Connor and one stepbrother Joel Conner. She also leaves behind host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.
