Cynthia L. Taylor

She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1974 and married her high school sweetheart, Warren Scott Taylor, on January 3, 1975 residing in the Pasadena/Deer Park area.

For many years she was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to her 2 daughters. She also volunteered for many years at the school her daughters attended before starting her 25+ year career at Chase Bank. After her retirement in 2019, she enjoyed volunteering her time at Central Baptist Church Deer Park where she was a member for over 40 years.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Boyd Gaston Mayes; brothers, Bradley Jerome Mayes and Boyd Gaston “Chip” Mayes Jr; grandfather, Daniel Palmer Ivy and grandmother, Loretta Moore Ivy.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Scott Taylor; daughters, Sarah Beth Sherlin, Rachel Anne Taylor-Canchola and husband Gustavo Canchola; siblings, Patti Anne Smith, Michael Brennan Jones and wife Rebecca Jones; grandchildren Peyton Anthony Sherlin, Sophia Alexandra Canchola, Landon Wade Sherlin, Blane Austin Dubose and Sarah Grace Frederick.

Service will be held at Central Baptist Church Deer Park (210 W X Street . Deer Park, Texas . 77536) on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations are made to the Deer Park Food Pantry, pay it forward and send a card of encouragement to someone in need or volunteer your time and talents to the community or church home.
