Curtis Alton Buchan, 96, was born in Houston, Texas on April 16, 1928. He was called to glory on December 11, 2024. He was a resident of the Spring Branch area in Houston since 1949 in the home that he and his wife built.
Curtis was a veteran of the United States Army, a retiree from General Electric Company, and a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas for 75 years, where he served as Past Master of Fairbanks Lodge #1363 and District Instructor for 11 years. He was a recipient of the Lifetime Certificate of Work from the Grand Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 74 years, Jenny Ruth Hooker Buchan, his daughter, Donna Marie Buchan Prindible, his parents, Hans Paul Buchan and Rosa Estelle Barron Buchan McCabe Boles, his sister, Margie A. Buchan McGinley, and his nephew, Anthony Joseph McGinley. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Buchan Brown, three grandchildren, Carl Jay Brown, Stephanie Marie Brown Belland, and Dylan Wayne Brown, and four great-grandchildren, Alexander Wayne Weigel, Dalen Curtis Brown, Joshua Jaxon Belland, and Stephen Levi Brown.
Private burial services will be held on December 19, 2024 at Rosewood Memorial Park.
