She was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands on August 15, 1951 as the third of ten siblings. She grew up in Etten Leur. After high school, she worked as an administrative assistant at Byron Jackson pump company where she met her husband Joe. After they got married in 1974, they lived in Hoeven, Zoetermeer and Leiden. Shortly after the birth of their first daughter Bianca in 1979 they moved across the ocean to Houston. Their second daughter Jessica was born in 1982.
In Houston, Corry lived her life for her family, and was a loving wife and stay-at-home mom. Her passion was helping others, and she volunteered at her daughters’ schools and was involved in their extracurricular activities for many years. Corry was an active member of the Houston Holland Club and loved to host activities and get-togethers for the group. She was passionate about traveling and some of her favorite destinations include Aruba, Cabo, and of course, Holland. Corry loved to try her luck at the casino and enjoyed frequent trips to Louisiana with friends. Her biggest passion in life was her two granddaughters, Dakota and Ady. They were truly the light of her life.
Corry is survived by Joe, her husband of nearly 50 years, and her two daughters, Bianca and Jessica. She has two granddaughters, Dakota and Ady and two sons-in-law, Rob and Devin.
