Consuelo O. Araiza, age 67, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 16, 1954 raised by Tony H. Garcia Sr. and Lucy H. Garcia. Consuelo graduated from Jeff Davis High School and received a High School Diploma. She met Robert R. Araiza Sr. in Looscan Elementary and married on February 22, 1975. Consuelo loved her family and friends, and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She will forever be in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her birth parents Ernest N. Ortiz and Celia B. Muniz; stepfather Tony H. Garcia Sr.
Consuelo is survived by her husband Robert R. Araiza Sr.; daughters Angelica L. Araiza-Jaquez, and Sara C. Araiza-Macias; son Robert R. Araiza II; son-in-laws Daniel R. Jaquez, and Matthew C. Macias; daughter-in-law Wendy M. Araiza; grandchildren Mariah C. Araiza, Melony W. Araiza, Mia M. Araiza, Matthew C. Macias, Noah R. Macias, and Penelope Macias; stepmother Lucy H. Garcia.

A visitation for Consuelo will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 7:00 PM. A visitation will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St., Houston, Texas 77009. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St., Houston, Texas 77009. A committal service will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park.
