Colleen Tyrrell Younger

Colleen (Kirby) Nansen Tyrrell Younger, of Houston, passed away January 18, 2015, four days shy of her 81st birthday. She fought a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Colleen loved her life as a mother of seven girls. In her later years she enjoyed baking, working puzzles, playing bingo, and talking with family and friends. Colleen never met a stranger, she met many people in her lifetime and was known as a kind, friendly woman. Her prized possessions were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved equally. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, James Tyrrell, James Younger, and David Nansen; three of her daughters, Irene, Kathy, and Glennis; and two grandchildren, Tammie and Melissa. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Darlene and Mike Jarrar, Patricia and Charlie Phillips; daughters, Kay Easton, and Janet Moore; grandchildren Mike, James, Kasey, Amanda, Danny, Jamie, Jessica, Rebecca, Nadia, Jennifer, Michael, Jason, Michelle, Ryan; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Faith Assembly Church, 7755 Fairbanks N. Houston Rd., Houston, TX 77040. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
