Christopher Edward Mannarino, a gentle soul of 50, from Houston, TX passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2022, after a one year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by so many who loved him.
He was born in Boston, MA on May 8, 1972 to Guy and Lola Mannarino. Guy relocated to Houston bringing Chris into all of our lives. He was the first graduating class of Kempner High School (Class of 90). He attended University of Houston for eight years.
He was married to Melissa Mannarino for 18 years. He had several odd jobs and always took care of his family.
Music was always a passion for him. He had a musical palate of a 5 star chef. Every recommendation was too good. He appreciated anyone who created art and always wanted to create more. He loved outer space and science. He was a cinephile whose choice of movie could inspire you or change your life. His mind was open, his heart was big and he had no enemy or arch nemesis. He was genuine. What you saw is what you got. And we are all better for it.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Mannarino, his brother, Richard Mannarino, his father and mother, Guy and Lola Mannarino, & his aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides. He is survived by his in-laws Joe and Estelle De La Rosa, his brother-in-law, Kyle De La Rosa, sister-in-law, Angie Gonzales and nephew Nico. He is also survived by his brothers from other mothers and sisters from other misters, Donald Andrews, Pete & Heather Knox and Family, Mike & Holli Clements and Family, Matt Krocak, Drew and Lauren Krocak and Family, Susan Lockwood and Family, Amber Peterson & Natasha Ramirez, Felicia Lassek, Julia Sullivan and Nate, David Colangelo, Traveus Lawson, and the rest of you. You know who you are. All of you that he made feel special by just existing.
There won’t be anyone else like him. He will be missed.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
