On Monday, April 12th, 2021, Christine “Tata” Barker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away at the age of 70. Born in Potsdam, NY on September 21st, 1950 to parents Richard and Hifa Rezak before moving at an early age and living her life in Houston, TX. Chris had a passion for working with people, from her decades in HR to her dedication working at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. With her husband Jimmy Barker, Chris adopted her beloved daughter, Christy Barker in the early 1990’s and dedicated her life to her thereafter.
You could not stop Chris from traveling with friends and family all over the world! She loved spending her time enjoying the company of her grandkids, dear friends and loved ones. Always one to have her camera ready to go, to capture a memory or moment to always remember. Chris was many things to her loved ones, always one to plan ahead and use her wisdom to guide others.
Finally reunited with her late husband Jimmy, Chris is survived by her beloved children Christy Barker, Michael Costello, and Brett Barker; Grandchildren Landon Costello, Presley Barker and Adelynne Cherry along with numerous distant family members and close friends.
Chris was the epitome of how to live a life to the fullest and love as greatly as you can.
Visitation for Christine will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 10AM – 11 AM at the Oaks Mausoleum Chapel at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Celebration of Life service will follow at 11AM. Entombment Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
