October 7, 1976- February 25, 2024
Christian Johann Frisch, age 47 passed away at home on Sunday, February 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Christian was a showstopper until the end. As he heard some of his favorite songs and listened to his family share some of his favorite stories and memories, he took his last breaths before joining his beloved mother, Brigitta Frisch in heaven.
Christian was born on October 7, 1976, in Vienna, Austria. He moved to Houston with his parents when he was two years old and from then on, considered himself a true Texan at heart and never wanted to leave. Christian graduated from Katy Taylor High School in 1995, and as a testament to his character, his high school friends are still some of his greatest friends today. Christian earned his Landscape Architecture degree from Texas Tech University in 2000 and began his career in landscaping before he discovered that his true passion was building. In his early 30's, Christian started his own General Contracting Company, Portfolio Builders, Inc., and his commercial buildings are scattered throughout Houston and other areas of Texas. His buildings stand tall with strong foundations and are symbolic of the man he was. They will forever be physical reminders of his time with us on this earth. Christian was a committed business owner, employer and, while enduring his 14-month battle with cancer, he was determined to work every day.
Although he was a successful businessman, Christian was a family man first. Christian was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle & son. His family was his everything and he told everyone his family was his greatest gift. He loved his wife and his boys fiercely – his love forever cemented in his family of four “C”s. He was their protector, provider, always present, the boys’ biggest fan at their little league baseball games and never took anything for granted. He was happiest when he was in family mode; date nights with his wife and always making sure they had quality time together, he took his boys fishing, race car driving, monster trucking, hiking, biking, boating, traveling, and to endless car and boat shows. Second to family, Christian loved life, his friends and never met a stranger. When you met Christian, you had no choice but to love him. He lit up and filled every room he entered and could talk to a wall. He was funny, kind, genuine, positive, always smiling and charming, but most of all a loving person who was always there for his family and friends.
Christian leaves behind his loving wife, Cindy Frisch of Bellaire TX. They were married for 14 years, but were each other’s everything for 22 . Christian was the wonderful father to two sons, Connor Frisch of Bellaire, TX, and Carson Frisch of Bellaire, TX ; Christian also leaves behind, his father Lorenz Frisch of San Marcos, TX as well as his sister Petra Mann and her husband Sean Mann of San Marcos, TX, as well as nephews & nieces.
