Loving memories together again, 62 years today 04/29/2022

Happy anniversary Mama & Daddy, 62 years. It is hard here without you but i will survive like always. Never thought our family would be so heartless, but it is what it is. Love & miss you both  so very much. Golden gates of Haven have you both now. Heres a portrait someone sketched years ago for some memories

Momma everyone misses you so much. We celebrated Amanda’s birthday on Sunday. I gave her your opal ring like you wanted me to. She loved it so much. 
We all went out to eat Chinese food for your birthday yesterday. We bought you a pink and blue cake and sang Happy Birthday to you. 
Little Charlotte has her. Birthday tomorrow. 
We miss you and love you. 

I remember visiting Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Dutch when I lived with my dad. She cooked some fried egg sandwiches for everyone and they were so good! I was fascinated by the chickens, ducks, and geese in the backyard. I remember her warning me that the geese might chase me and bite me if I wasn't careful. I wish that I could have spent more time with her and my cousins through the years. I enjoyed every conversation we had through the years and will remember her always. Rest in peace Aunt Charlotte. 

Mom, i know you are with us. I was listening to an Elvis song the other night and i smelt your perfume and i was mowing the grass a week or so ago and a beautiful dragonfly landed on my hand twice. I want to pick my pbone up and call you everyday. I miss and love you and daddy so very much. 

Dear Charlotte you and I grew up together in Houston. I am only about a month older than you. When we lived next door to each other you would talk me into playing dolls with you. When we got a little older as teen agers I would go with you, Gary and your mother and dad fishing in Galveston and Eagle Lake. I spent a week with you and two other girls in Eagle Lake when I was about 13 we rode horses for a week and after 2 days I could not walk from that saddle. Your mother was a great cook and I ate many meals with you.  You were also a great cook.  I spent my life working in zoos and we talked about animals together on the internet. I will miss you. Thanks for being there when I needed you. Love your cousin Tim Jones

Words cant describe how much I loved her and she loved her family. She is the kindest, most selfless person I know and she taught me to be the same. If she heard of someone in need she would go out and buy whatever they needed even if she didn't have the money at the time to spare, family or strangers. She loved supporting things that me and my cousins, and now our children are involved in. She loved for us to be involved in stuff, sports, band, choir, FFA, dance, you name the event and she never missed a single one. I remember one time she hatched some ducklings and something started getting them and she brought the last duckling in the house and raised it inside for over a year (yes a duck in the house) lol! We also found out accidently that the duck loved macaroni and cheese and so she cooked that dang duck mac and cheese once a week and fed it to her a little every day. When she moved to Splendora she brought the duck with her but she kept it outside in a coop but she still cooked the mac and cheese for it. She loved that thing until it died of old age. My grandma also loved the Houston Astros. When we were kids she would take us to watch them at the Astrodome for any Sunday home game they had. We would sit in the $10 general admission cheap seats in the outfield, we'd get there hours early so we could get the seats right in the front! We would have our gloves and home made Astros paraphernalia and cheer them on! Then after the game she'd take us around back where the players parked their cars and wait for them to come out and get their autographs. She also loved to sew and taught me how to sew by hand and with a sewing machine and I hope to pass this on to my own kids one day. My Nana was also excited when she found out I was pregnant the last time and when I named my daughter after her she was overjoyed. They were born 79 years and 2 days apart. So when my daughter turned one my Nana turned 80 and we had a joint party for the Charlotte's!  She loved it.

I remember Nana always being at my Memaws house when I would visit. I loved her hugs.

I have fond memories of Charlotte growing up on Cravens Street next to Mary Lou!  Oh, the fun times and so many memories with Charlotte and Uncle Dutch!  I remember  Charlotte was such a fan of Elvis, she watched every movie he was in and every song he had.  She loved her family.  She will be missed and loved by so many.  Rest in Peace Charlotte!  God bless and prayers for all the family!

So sorry for your loss. I know how much she meant to all of y’all and to uncle Dutch during all their years together. So glad she moved up to Splendora to have all of y’all near her. 2000 words can not begin to describe what my NaNa meant to this world. She raised me and my sister Brandy (grandkids), along with our PaPa. She taught us the meaning of life, while PaPa taught us how to survive through it. While teaching the meaning of life, she also taught us how to cook, how to be patient, how to find the positives in the worst of situations, how to love unconditionally, and how/why family is so important. Her favorite nintendo game was Bubble Bobble, which she played with me alot when I was younger. As I grew up, especially after PaPa passed, she listened and understood me when no one else could. The stories and memories we created together are heartfelt and down right unbelievable. As time passed, we developed a deep connection, respect, and understanding toward each other that can not be described in words. In the end, the connection, respect, & understanding we shared will be valued for the rest of my life. Be in peace, and go find PaPa. When you find him, tell him I love him, and that I hope that everyday I make him proud, and that I hope I have made him proud of who I am in life. Go make new stories to tell, for when we are together again. I will see you and Papa again when my chores here on earth are through. I dont know how long I will be, but I'm not gonna let y'all down, y'all just wait and see. So between now and then, until I see y'all again, I'll be loving you... LOVE ME.

Nana was an amazing person. She was always an great woman. There was a couple times I remember when I was really young when ever I asked to get something in a store, if she could, she would get it just to see me smile. When I would go to her house she amost always  had something for either me or the other grandkids. When i was around 6 or 7 she would take me to  the Home Depot Workshop  to make something every time she got the chance to. I loved it. I was always so excited for it just to see what i was making. She would always help me. I always loved the little moments I had with her especially with the last couple years. She watched me grow up and she saw me graduate. I always tried to look up to her when I needed guidance. I love you Nana.

My Mom is a beautiful woman and I love  her very much. The most in her life is she loved her family. My Mom has been there for me through good and bad and thick and thin. I will miss her every second of everyday.  She enjoyed all family gatherings.  She was the most caring person that i know. She loved Sugar bird with all her heart.  She loved most all animals. She would feed the wild including birds, cats shunks, racoons and possums. We took many trips together to Georgia to visit her grandson and great granddaughter when he was in the military going through several states to get there. We made several trips to Louisiana. My sister and I took her to Arkansas to the diamond field which she enjoyed. She loved going to Buna for granddaughter's FFA events. She loved to travel. She loved to go to Sargent and fish and relax. I will miss her everyday.  I LOVE YOU MOM. You are in the golden gates of haven now with daddy and family. I know you will be watching over all of us. Rest in peace and know you are loved and my heart will be with you forever.

I love my mom so much. She was the most caring and thoughtful person I’ve ever known. She loved her family and all their friends. I have so many friends that just love my mom. She loved her sugar bird (cockatiel). She also loved her geese and chickens. She would set outside everyday and feed her geese a loaf of bread and a head of lettuce. She was always excited about how many eggs she would get everyday. 
I will think of her everyday for the rest of my life.  Rest In Peace, mom. You told me several times, you wanted to go home. Now you are home. 

Charlotte Whatley is my grandmother. One thing I will always remember about her is her cooking! She was the main cook in our family for many years. Especially for the holidays. She was always there for each of us in a time of need. She loved the Houston Astros! Hardly ever missed a game. She will be always missed. But she is finally without pain or sorrow from this world. And living in heaven for eternity with her mama and husband. I love you ma. Don't worry about your chickens, geese, and bird sugar! They will be always taken care of. I love you and give papa a kiss for me! 

Charlotte was a welcomed fixture at many of Chapter N2’s special events!  Always greeted by her welcoming smile, I’m pretty sure we enjoyed some of her good cooking and those fresh eggs her chickens laid!  She loved her family and they in turn took excellent care of her!  A tradition I heard Robin mention more than once was going with her mom to a Weight Watchers’s meeting and then going to lunch 😁.  I wonder if they ate within the allowed points!  She will definitely be missed!
