In the bright of day and the crisp morning air and as the dust settles Charles has passed on leaving his Wife Pattie, Sister Carollyn Chapman, Brother-In-Law Harold Chapman and many Nieces and Nephews and Friends. Everyone knew hm not as Charles or Charlie but as Sid short for Sidney his middle name. One of his friends called him Super Sid because he was always tinkering or fixing things. Sid called another friend another brother from a different mother because both of their last names were Smith. He had many friends some among them were his crew members who sailed with him on the Tall Ship Elissa which docks and sails out of the Seaport Museum which sails out of Galveston, Texas. He loved that part of his life until he got too old to climb the riggings anymore. In his day to day job he was a Construction Estimator and worked with many of the builders in Houston and the surrounding areas. He was a man of many diversified talents and even at his age of 90 kept up on what was going on inthe world around him. Even though his wife did not share his love of the sea and sailing they shared the love of the Arts and traveling and recently celebrated 30 wonderful years together. He shall be sorely missed but remembered by all that knew him for the wonderful man that he was.
