Charles Clinton Priestley was born April 3, 1955 to Matthew and Sallie Priestley. He was the 4th of six children. He graduated from Reagan High School and obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Prairie View A&M University on August 13, 1978.
Charles married Betty Jones on March 15, 1996 in Houston, TX. He worked for Wrigley and Metropolitan Transit Authority.
He is preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Sallie Priestley, his brother Albert (Toot) Priestley, and his sister Barbara Priestley.
He is survived by his wife Betty Priestley, step sons Jarvis Helms (Andrea), Derwin Helms (Gayla), Eric Helms (Tonise), brothers Matthew Priestley Jr. (Sylvia), Lewis Priestley (Sherri), sister Julia Williams, sister in law Helen Priestley, and a host of nieces and nephews.
