Charles S. Harding

Charles S. Harding, age 84, of Spring, Texas passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. Charles was born February 26, 1937 in Houston, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. William D. Harding Sr. as the youngest of 6 children.

He joined the United States Navy in August 1955 and spent 4 years Active Duty and traveled to many far away countries aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard CV-31. Charles was also a reserve deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's Office during the Buster Kern years. He received his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences from the North Harris Community College and went on to spend 27 years with the Houston Lighting and Power Company working in many different groups, ending as the Supervisor of the Meter Repair Lab.

Charles is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evie Imogene Butler Harding. Two children, Charles Gene Harding and Patricia Yvonne Harding Spurger, Son-In-Law Gary Allen Spurger. Two grandchildren, Katie Leigh Spurger Rowe and her husband Ryan Rowe, and Christopher Ritchie Spurger. His sister Dorothy Thompson and multiple nieces and nephews/

A visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A committal service will occur Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
