Cecil R Caldwell

Cecil Ralston Caldwell, 73, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was born June 28, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to James Daffan Caldwell and Doris Marie Mankins Caldwell. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cecil graduated Bellaire High School in 1966 and attended Sam Houston State University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. He retired as a district manager from Abicor Binzel in 2014. Cecil was a Master Mason in good standing with the Bellaire (No. 1336) Grand Lodge of Texas and was scheduled to be recognized for 50 years of service this February. He was also a member of the Arabia Shriners and served a term as President of the Arabia Temple Golfers. Cecil was also an active member and volunteer of Bethany United Methodist Church from childhood until its recent closure.

Cecil was proceeded in death by his parents, Daffan and Doris Caldwell, and his brother David Caldwell. He is survived by his son David James Caldwell and wife Amy of West Fork, AR; daughter Christy Caldwell CoVan and husband Matt of Huffman, TX; daughter Trisha Nicole Sims and husband Kris of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Emily Caldwell, Isabelle Caldwell, Logan Caldwell, Bailee CoVan, Brynna CoVan, Madison Sims, and Kolton Sims and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1:00pm at Forest Park Westheimer in Houston, TX. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00pm with graveside service immediately following.
