Cathy Sue Ware

She was born on February 28, 1958 in Houston, Texas and graduated from MacArthur High School in 1976. She married Dennis Ware November 6, 1976, and lived in the Houston area where she resided until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Magdalyn Mercilliott and brother-in-law, Randall Linn. Cathy Sue is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Dawn Ware, Jamie and Stephanie Ware and Blake and Trina Ware; Sister, Bobbye Linn; Brother and sister in law, Griff and Donna Mercilliott; Aunt and Uncle Joan and George Hedge; Grandchildren, Timmy Ware, Avery Ware, Alana Ware, Madison Metcalf, Landon Ware, Cooper Ware, Allison McGinn and Kennedy Ware; Great grandson, Atlas Ware and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children. She is also survived by her significant other, Larry Duke. The family would like to recognize Larry and thank him for the continued love and care he provided for Cathy Sue in the toughest of times during her battle. The family would also like to thank Elena Loghin and family at Spring Senior Care Home for the continued love and care they provided to Sue until her final day.

Cathy Sue was a dedicated mother and meme. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She loved dancing, fishing and spending time with her family.

A memorial service for Cathy will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008.
