Mr. Camarillo was born on May 16, 1945 in San Juan, TX. Preceded in death by his father Castulo Camarillo Sr. and mother, Benigna Perez Camarillo.
Mr. Camarillo is survived by his loving wife, Marilu Rios Camarillo, sisters: Carmen Long, Guadalupe Arellanes, Ernestina Villalobos, Ignacia Alvarado; brothers: Jose Angel, Paul, and Roberto Camarillo, and many other loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister Maria Elisa Cantu and brothers: Matias, Inez, and Francisco Camarillo.
Sgt. Castulo Camarillo served in the US Army with the 1st Cavalry Division (Garry Owen) in Vietnam from 1966-1967 earning two Bronze Stars, and a Combat Infantry Badge (CIB) for his efforts during combat.
After his retirement, Mr. Camarillo spent his time volunteering and being an active member of his community. He was active with the Vietnam Combat Veterans Association, American Legion, 1st Calvary Division Association, and the Tejano Veterans Association.
Mr. Camarillo would also volunteer at local food banks and at the VA Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Camarillo loved to spend time with his dog, Bruce, gardening at home, and traveling to annual conferences to meet with the 1st Calvary Division Association across the United States.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.
