His love of conversation, fellowship and building bridges across cultures served Dr. Romero well in his role as Honorary Consul of Ecuador in Houston. As a member of Houston’s Consular Corps for 34 years, he ceaselessly shared generous hospitality with Ecuadorians who traveled to Houston to receive world-class medical care.
He is survived by his wife and children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church in memory of “Carlos E. Romero, MD” at 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, Texas 77079.
