Burnnie was born in Mounds, Illinois on October 23rd, 1923.
Burnnie was first married to Fred Turley circa 1942. Together they had two children. Burnnie was married to Thomas Edward Kennedy on December 31st, 1955; they were married 53 years. She bore five children in this marriage.
Burnnie, a devoted Wife and Mother, lovingly, bore and raised seven children. She was very devoted to Our Lady of Fatima and was a daily reciter of The Holy Rosary. She also enjoyed slot machines, video poker, bingo, reading, late night crossword puzzles (with treats), and surprising her family with wonderful Christmas and Birthday celebrations. And, of course, we all knew that we should NEVER call her when the Wheel of Fortune or The Price is Right was on!
Burnnie is survived by her sister-in-law; Cynthia Wallis, grandchildren through Merideth; Robert Dewayne Blair and Jeana Rene Blair, great grandchild through Jeana; Ashley Rae Wiley, great-great grandchildren through Ashley; Adela Marie Thompson, Nazareth Ann Thompson and Nix Sanaa Ortiz, daughter; Geraldine Marie Cioch and husband; Robert Cioch, grandchildren through Geraldine; Thomas Joseph Cioch and his wife; TeriJo Cioch, Carlton John Cioch and his wife Nicole Cioch, great grandchildren through Carlton; Daniel Thomas Cioch and Steven Tyler Cioch, son; Mark Gregory Kennedy, grandchildren through Mark; Michael Thomas Kennedy and Emily Nicole Guevara, honorary grandsons; Jon Michael Meadows and Bryan Hall Meadows, son; Timothy Evan Kennedy, daughter; Stephanie Louise Summerall and her husband Derek Summerall, grandchildren through Stephanie; Dana Lorraine Summerall and Amber Dawn Summerall, great grandchild through Dana; Aiden James Pitman, daughter; Mary Amelia Eng and her husband; Darryl Jackson Eng, grandchildren through Mary; Jackson Aaron Eng and Noah Taylor Eng and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Burnnie is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Edward Kennedy, first husband; Fred Turley, father; Burnutt Wallis, mother; Geraldine Tucker Wallis Molloy, brother; Lloyd Edward Wallis, daughter; Merideth Ann Sullivan and her husband Robert Sullivan, son; Christopher Paul Kennedy, Daughter-in-Law; C. Lee Kennedy.
Burnnie was a generous, kind hearted person and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by us all.

The funeral mass (service) will be held at 10:00 a.m. September 2nd at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Dr., Houston. Visitation/Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m., Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Organized Witnessing at 7:30 p.m.,September 1st at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery; at 12:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas, 77023.
