Bonnie Rose Green-Brodnax was born August 26, 1928 in Bell County, TX, and passed away on April 23, 2011 at the age of 82 from respiratory failure at Memorial Hospital.
Bonnie was a local bar owner and operator for over 40 years and was loved by all that had the pleasure of spending time with her. An extremely giving and generous woman, Bonnie treated all of her customers and friends as if they were family. One of Bonnie's lifelong dreams came true when she was chosen to appear on The Price is Right with Bob Barker during a trip to Los Angeles, California with her good friend, caretaker, and "adopted daughter" Janie Ojeda.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her son Danny Knoff, her mother Virgie Belle Pick, and her father Morris Green, and is survived by her longtime caretaker, friend, and "adopted daughter" Janie Ojeda.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 1:00pm. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 and will be open to friends and family from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. In honor of Bonnie's Irish heritage, the family is asking that all attendees wear green to the services to celebrate her life.
