Bob Erven Murray, Sr., 87, of Houston, Texas entered into rest on March 24, 2019. He was born in Oklahoma on March 21, 1932. Bob graduated from Bayland Boys School. He was married to Alice Anette Murray on October 13, 1964. Bob Murray had a career in pest control for West University Pest Control. He had a passion for reading, gardening, and telling stories.
He is survived by his children Michael Whalen, Bob Murray Jr., Grace Conroy, and Kathy Dale; grandchildren Josh Drude, Johnny Drude, Matthew Conroy, Daron Conroy, Katie Conroy, Patrick Blakley, Amy Jewell, Melody Whalen; and eight great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life service will commence at 12:00 p.m. after which he will be escorted to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
