Blanca C. Rodriguez

Blanca was born to Antonio Cantu Cantu and Agustina Arredondo Garza on November 15, 1933, in San Nicolas de Los Garza, NL, Mexico. She married Hector C. Rodriguez in 1957, and lived in Houston, Texas. Together they raised four children.

Blanca is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Socorro. Blanca is also preceded in death by her beloved husband Hector, sons Hector and Frank. Blanca is survived by her daughter Laura Cabrera (Ricardo) and son, Edward Rodriguez and daughter-in-law Claudia Batres-Rodriguez. She is survived by her sisters Dora, Gloria and brother Antonio, her grandchildren, Adriana, Sophia, Max, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, to cherish her memories.

Blanca was owner of Central Tool Works, Inc after the passing of her beloved husband Hector who worked alongside her sons Edward and Frank for many years after the passing of her husband.

Blanca lived a long happy life, always with a positive attitude and willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed baking hojarascas and sharing them with family, friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank Mireya Huerta for caring and giving her lots of love throughout her final months of life. Rest in peace mama, you will always be missed.

A visitation for Blanca will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
