Billy Wedemeyer

Billy Byars Wedemeyer , 78, passed away May 8, 2014. Billy was born on November 28, 1935 in Jewett, TX. to Wiley Wedemeyer and Ernestine Byars Wedemeyer. Billy attended Stephen F. Austin High School and then went on to Sam Houston State University. He worked for Texas Welding and Press, then was part owner at Hood & Wedemeyer for many years, then Heavy Quip until his retirement in 2010. He is survived by his wife Barbara, of 40 years, his daughter Lisa Wilson and son-in-law Jimmie Wilson, his 4 grandchildren, Byars, Brooks, Baylee and Brady Wilson. He is also survived by his brother, David Connor and wife BB, nephews Chris Connor and wife Pam, Troy and Bryan Bennett and great-niece Kaytlin Connor. He is also survived by his favorite cousin, Sam Byars and wife Lynda and their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other friends. A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX., 77023, on Monday, May 12th, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014, at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 13207 Orleans St., Houston, TX., 77015, at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the South Park Cemetery, 1310 N Main St, Pearland, TX 77581. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Trinity United Methodist Church.
