A native Houstonian, Betty Emery Moore was born on the 3rd of February 1926 and passed away on Sunday, the 20th of December 2015, in Houston. She was 89.
Betty attended Southmoor Elementary, Lanier Junior High, and graduated from Lamar High School. She went on to attend Southwestern University, The University of Texas and The School of Interior Decorating in New York. Betty worked for Baker Botts Law Firm in Houston for forty-three years, retiring in 1992.
Miss Moore is a descendant of The Pioneer Texas Austin-Bryan-Perry Family. She was a member of the Junior League of Houston.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, J. Perry Moore and Juanita Emery Moore. She is survived by several cousins, God-children, and friends.
An interment service is to be conducted two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 27th of December, at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Brazoria County.
