Just a few words from some friends and family –
“Wow what a wealth of Bible knowledge just left the earth what an awesome Bible teacher Bennie Stephens always was.”
“PawPaw was such a smart, sweet, funny person. I loved him & will really miss him, as I'm sure is the case for all who knew him. Love to you all.
“I knew he was ill, but always held that glimmer of hope that he would have been with us a few more years, but God decided it was time for Daddy to meet him face to face. For those that don't know, my dad was a great teacher and scholar of the Bible. He was a great man and will be forever in our hearts.”
“When we were kids, Bennie, James, Phillip, Don and I (Dean) use to get into trouble all the time. We went to the hay barn and made tunnels throughout the hay and when winter came and Dad went to get the hay to feed the animals, he started pulling bales down and low and behold, what he thought was a barn-full of hay was only half because of the tunnels. Boy did we ever get in trouble.”
We are sure you have many more stories and please feel free to post them in the remembrances.
