Bennie I. Johnson

She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty June & John Hudson Acker and sister, Sandra White.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 47 years, David Johnson, daughter, Lisa Michelle Walker and her husband Mike Walker, son Ronald Johnson and his wife Lisa Johnson; grandchildren, Brooke Johnson, Erica Johnson, Jake Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Annice Walker and extended family members and friends.

Bennie shared her passion for life. She advised and patiently guided many beyond her family, leading us all with love and patience. She enjoyed a long career in banking, retiring from Amegy as a Bank Officer and

Operations Manager. Her favorite retirement activity was cruising from Galveston with family, and her favorite comfort was reading while cuddled with a cat.

Bennie’s compassion for others and charitable generosity will be carried forward through all of us who loved her.

A visitation for Bennie will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
