Barbara Wooten

She was preceded by her husband, Henry Wooten, who she was married to for 63 years. Henry was born October 21, 1930 and passed away March 4, 2020. Henry and Barbara met in Houston and were married in 1957. They lived in multiple locations in Houston and other Texas cities until moving to Oklahoma City in 1970, followed by their final move to San Antonio in 1988 as Henry soon after retired from Schering Plough.

Barbara was known for her kindness, intelligence, and her sense of humor – which was complimented by the jokes and funny stories frequently told by Henry. Their house was always full of life and laughter. The best times were when the entire family could converge on the house during the holidays where meals and fun times were always had.

Henry and Barbara are survived by their son Russell – and his wife Marilyn and children Alex, Zachary, and Paul; son Andy; and son Bob – and his wife Traci and children Tyler and Alison. Henry and Barbara’s one daughter Jana, passed away in 2004 in Enid, OK.

Henry, Barbara, and Jana will be buried at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039, on October 14, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11 am, followed by fellowship in the small chapel at Brookside to celebrate their life and love.
