Barbara Ann Reedy Knight, 81, died peacefully after many years of suffering on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Tomball Regional Hospital, Tomball, TX. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Knight; daughter Carole Rector and son Michael Knight with their spouses, and four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and dear friends. Barbara, or she was also known as "Nana" to many, was preceded in death by her brother, MT Reedy and parents, William MT Reedy and Kate Louis Burkhalter Reedy. She was born on March 20, 1935 at Memorial Hospital, Houston, TX and attended Burbank Middle School, Jeff Davis High School and TX A & M University at Corpus Christi. She was a faithful, godly example as a pastor's wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and caregiver and thoroughly enjoyed teaching and spending time with children of all ages, but especially toddlers and pre-schoolers.
A memorial service is to be held on Sunday, January 8 at 3:00p.m. at Houston's First Baptist Church. Burial services to be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family.
