Armando R. Vega, age 80 passed away on Monday April 16, 2018. Armando was born May 8, 1937 in Monterey, Mexico to Gregorio Vega and Virginia Rodriguez. He was a skilled cabinet maker and refinisher who enjoyed spending his free time watching western movies and bar-b-quing.
Armando was preceded in death by his mother Virginia R. Cardenas.
Armando is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bessie Vega; daughters Sandy Vega and Cynthia M. (Luis) Cantu; sons Joe Armando (Sandra) Vega and Greg (Nancy) Vega; sister Frances Cardenas; grandchildren Monica Noriega, Joe Vega Jr., Mark Vega, Rosie Vega, Matthew Vega, Gregory Vega Jr., Leslie Vega, Angelica Arevalo, Steven Cardoza, Amanda Rusk, Ashle Cantu, Luis Cantu Jr. and Lucas Cantu; 8 great-grandchildren
A visitation for Armando will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Crespo Funeral Home, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Patricks Church, 4918 Cochran St., Houston, TX 77009. Interment to follow at Historic Hollywood Cemetery.
