Mr. Garcia was born on June 8, 1926 to Juan Garcia and Constantina Daga Garcia in New York, New York. He passed away on December 8, 2011 in Houston, Texas
He is survived by his wife, Mary Malone Garcia; his daughters Maria Chao and her husband Carlos and Judy Schutz and her husband Guillermo; his son John Garcia and his wife Cheila; and his grandchildren Guillermo Schutz, Christina Chao, Nicole Garcia, Roberto Schutz and Maria Schutz.
