Annette Turner

Annette was born in Oakwood, Tx. February 4, 1946 to the late Bennie and Eliza Turner and was the 4th born of 6 siblings. The family relocated to Houston when Annette was just a baby. Annette lived with her parents until their death, then she lived with her sister (Charlotte) until her demise.

In her younger days she was the family babysitter. She enjoyed her nieces and nephews and was very protective of them all.

She accepted Christ at a young age at Evening Star Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. H. L. Lester. She remained there her entire life. She loved her church and would sing out loudly with the congregation.

When she arrived at Heaven’s Gate, she was welcomed by her parents Bennie & Eliza Turner, brothers: Bobby Turner and Robert Turner and sister Laura Ferguson.

Precious memories of her life hold a special place in our hearts. Annette is survived by her Sister, Charlotte Small and Brother, James E. Turner (Kay). Nieces: Cheryl Small, Kimberly Small, Neysha Small, Ebony Turner, Porche Turner, Robietta Turner and, Hermisecier Broussard. Nephews: Garlon Turner, Troy Small, James Stewart, and Hayward Ferguson Jr and a host of great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Annette will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, 8422 Darlington Street, Houston, TX 77028, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM. The interment will be at Brookside Memorial Park.
