Ann Bernice Steele

Our dear Ann Bernice King Steele sadly passed away after a long and full life on July 14 at the age of 96. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her and will be missed terribly. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of her church, Deer Park Methodist Church, in Deer Park, Texas. She was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church (Servants of Christ) for 70 years where she made a big difference.

She was predeceased by her Husband, Delbert Kelly Steele and her Son, Randolph King Steele and is survived by Son, Michael Kelly Steele, (wife Marsha Dawn), Daughter, Janice Steele Betts, (husband Doug), 3 Beautiful Granddaughters, Macy Brown (husband Doug), Molly Hamilton, and Maura Sandhu, (husband Nick), 2 Grandsons, Chris Martinez, Nick Howard, and brother Bobby King (wife Felix), and 9 Great Grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Sodalis Assisted Living Deer Park and Fountain of Hope Hospice. A special thank you to Patience, Mother’s Hospice Nurse.

A visitation for Ann will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.

The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
