Anita E. Gordon

Anita went to Praha High School where she completed her 10th grade year. During her early life as a teenager, she moved to Houston, Texas to work as a house keeper, and child care taker with her sister Della. Anita married her first husband Walter Evans on May 10, 1946 and continued to live her life with her children until Walter's death. Later she married Kenneth Gordon on July 7, 1962, and continued to raise her children, enjoy her family all while growing her garden in Conroe, Texas. She worked as a home maker, and a child care taker. Anita was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and had a passion for gardening, yard work, dancing and even cooking.

Anita is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Walter Evans; 2nd husband, Kenneth Gordon; son, Bobby Evans; parents, Emil and Hattie Nesrsta; brothers, Fred, Rudy, Emil and Edwin Nesrsta; and Sister, Hattie Hamby. She is survived by daughters, Linda Evans Shaw, Nancy Evans and husband Rick Arimond and daughter in law, Virginia Evans; Son, Kenneth Gordon Jr; Grandchildren, Robert and David Evans, Gary and Jason Shaw, Kristi and husband Bart Cobb, and Brad Arimond; great grandchildren, Alyssa Evens, Ashley Shaw, Grant Shaw, Kylie Cobb, Bailey Cobb, Junah Arimond, and Macy Shaw; sisters, Della Kubeskie and Helen Barborak.

A visitation will be held Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 14, 2019 at 10:00 AM, in the Family Chapel at Brookside with a burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
