Anita Horton Clark

Born, September 24, 1945, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Anita Horton Clark, originally of New York City, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022 at the age of 77, in her home in Houston, Texas after a courageous journey with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Anita. She had an ability to find happiness in her daily activities as much as she did traveling to spend time with her family and friends. She met every person with a warm embrace, she knew no strangers and never missed an opportunity to express her love for others. She was led through her life of service through her deep spiritual faith and could be found in prayer, meditation, contemplative reading and communion with the Divine Jesus Christ, daily.

She is survived by her loving family that includes her twin sister, Alice, her brother Gary, her sister Jan, her three sons, Ernie Jr, and wife Becky, Scott and wife Karma, and Eric and wife Sherry. Her grandchildren, Sarah, Chloe and husband Richard, James, Laura and husband Will, and Samantha and her great grandchildren Celes and William.

A visitation for Anita will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
