One of Andrea's "clients".  She never stopped caring for others and making a difference in the world. I miss her so very much.

Words feel hollow now.  I'm left with a handful of memories and a few sentences just can not express the love I feel for my aunt Andrea. For starters, she wasn't just my aunt but a close friend.   She was there my whole life.   Picking me up from school. Taking me shopping. (We loved to find bargains!) Listening to me try to sing. Acting as a go-between when during moments of teenage angst, I couldn't understand my parents and they couldn't understand me.  She didn't try to fix problems - she felt your problems.  She felt your successes too.  With every phone call I felt her joy as I would tell her, "hey I sold my first house!" or Ari finally learned to talk! or Alex is becoming a man, and a kind man at that.  She would celebrate with me. When her nursing patients would cry, she would cry.  Every up and down in life you felt, she felt.  You could never feel alone with a friend like that.  My hope now, because she died far too young, is that her every kindness is repaid a million times over and that she can re-live her dreams in a world that is as kind as her.  I miss you so much, Andrea.

We send our deepest sympathy to Reza, and to Andrea’s family at this sad time. Andrea was a gracious, generous, beautiful and kind-hearted person who never had a negative word to say about anyone. We feel blessed to have known her, and will cherish the memories of her visits to Connecticut where she was part of our extended family and was “Grammy” to Laila and Kian. We will miss her.
