

Andre was born on August 10, 1975, in Galveston, Tx to Debra Ann Ford and Marvin Carl Ford and active dad Steve Bennett, who all preceded him in death. Andre was the eldest of three children. Andre attended school in the Galveston County Independent School District where he graduated from Ball High in 1994.
Andre relocated to Houston, Texas where he worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) for approximately ten years. Andre later joined Metropolitan Transit Authority & Local 260 in 2002 where he faithfully served as a bus operator and active union steward for 19 years.
Andre was a hardworking, loving husband, father and brother who provided generously for all that he knew. Andre never missed a sporting event or orchestra concert. Andre was a listening ear to many and a great advice giver even when you did not want it. Andre united in holy matrimony with Farrah in August 2018. In their short union, Andre was the happiest he had ever been. Everyone saw it through the smiles that were always present whenever they were around each other.
Andre transitioned on January 25, 2021 in Cypress, Texas at the young age of 45. Andre will be missed by all who knew and loved him but never forgotten. Andre leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife Farrah Mickles, daughters Dre’Neisha M. Handy-Mickles & Arayna B. Mickles; sons, Andre D. Mickles Jr., Adam B. Mickles and Kaleb Gasery; two grandchildren, Journee N. Epps and Dredun R. Chambers; brother, Brandon P. Ford; sister Carrie A. Ford and cousins Lawrence E. Mickles (Ceria) and Jeremy L. Mickles; mother-in-law, Monica Gasery, fathers-in-law, Rossi Clifton Sr. and David Reed; brother-in-law, Rossi Clifton Jr. and Chris Reed; sister-in-law, Eranisha Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
