My heart is broken.  Big Al was so special to my heart. We all shared so many good times and great laughs. He will be missed.

There are no words to express the loss of a friend like Allen. The times we spent together can never be replaced. If you were fortunate enough to spend time hanging out in his garage, fishing, hunting, sitting around the fire, just to name a few, you know what I mean. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I spent a great deal of my teen years riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting with Allen, boy did we have some good times. He had a big part of my life and I will miss him dearly.

I will hold on to my memories that I have of Uncle Allen of the times we spent together like taking me to the races when I was a child and going fishing and seeing him on the holidays smiling and laughing I'm gonna miss you Uncle Allen. RIP.

Dearest and most loved  Alford family,
Al is loved by so many, many family, friends and work mates. 
Someone posted here that Al had his wings a long time ago. That is so true. He is the epitome of Gods grace and Jesus's love. 
Shilo and Shawn, your love for your uncle cannot be surpassed. Caring for someone is so so hard, even for a family member you love so much. You both and others have shown true love in the way you cared for Allen. 
I don't claim to be a close friend of Allen's. I'm not at all. Just an acquaintance that was blessed by his mere presence and the many many acts of love he showed us. 
I did have a couple occasions to visit Al in the hospital in the last year or so and to pray with Al. 
Al is fully healed now. Full of peace and joy. Jesus kept His promise and big, sweet Al is with Him now. 
We can best honor this big man, full of big love by trying to live as Al did. Full of Gods grace and the compassionate love of Jesus as shown through Al.

Every memory I have of Allen is of him smiling and laughing. He is such a joyful man!

Our family has known and worked with Allen since he was 18 years old. He was like "our own".  We dearly loved him and will greatly miss him.  Our prayers and thoughts are with his family. Annette and Phil Miner

I think I am still in shock, I didn't know Allen had been in the hospital. I really feel a big hole in my heart, he was such a special person. I don't ever remember seeing him down , he was always lifting others up. I hadn't seen since Cheryl's 60th but I will miss him dearly and will see him someday up in Heaven . I will see y'all at the services and I am praying for all of you in this time of sorrow . RIP Allen, I love you. You left us way too soon.

I was so saddened to hear about Allen.  He was always such a joy to be around growing up.....well at least when we got older.  He was always smiling and seemed to love everyone....I know how much I loved being around him and the whole family.  I plan to see you during this time but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
