Alex was born in Galveston, Texas to Juan Rivera and Elia Ortiz on October 24, 1982. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, barbequing, and being surrounded by loved ones, especially his children.
Alex Rivera is survived by his loving wife, Joanna Rivera, of Brownsville, TX; daughters, Brianna, Kayla, Kristine, Adrianna, his only son, Ian Rivera; parents, Juan and Denise Rivera, and Elia Ortiz; brothers and sisters, Juan Manuel Rivera Jr. (Aliyssa), Jerry Rivera (Leslie), John Paul Rivera, Yvonne Valdez (Vincent), Sylvia Rivera, Maria Esquivel Arteaga (Freddy), Misty Rivera Garcia (Gilbert), Christina Banda (Chris), Julie Quiroz (Ernest Jr.); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and best friend, Ernest Quiroz Jr.
By honoring his final wishes, he will be cremated.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday September 7, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home Champions at 10:00 a.m.
