Alberta Faye Hicks

Alberta graduated from Galena Park High School in 1947. She attended business school and began her career with Armco steel, in 1948, as a data entry Supervisor.

On May 28,1949 she was married to Robert H. Hicks. From this union four daughters were born: Linda, Karen, Mary, and Anna.

Alberta was a devoted Christian who gave her life to Jesus at the age of 6. Throughout her earthly journey she kept a sweet sanctified spirit no matter what she faced. She exemplified Christ to her family and all in her sphere of influence. She was a member of the Bible Missionary Church. She had a love for travel and was privileged to experience many parts of the world in her lifetime. Alberta was a connoisseur of knowledge and a voracious reader. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Her home was always open and her table was spread for many pastors, evangelists, friends, and family. There was always time for games with others, and working puzzles.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Hicks , daughters Linda Hicks Simonis, and Karen Hicks Johnson, brothers Harlan Baldridge, Jr and Donald Baldridge, and sister Anita Kennedy.

She is survived by her daughters Mary (Mark) Mullins of Duncan,OK and Anna (Frank) Baldwin,Jr. of Muncie, IN, a “Bonus” daughter Della Nugier of Bridge City, Texas, 10 Grandchildren, & 18 Great Grandchildren who will ALL greatly miss their MIMI.
