A. Gene Holt

Archie Gene Holt, age 84, entered into rest on December 17, 2017 in Katy, Texas. He was born in Bismark, Arkansas to the late Neva C. and Ernest Holt. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Courtney Wilkinson.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mona; his children, Lynn Wilkinson, Gregory Gene Holt and wife Julia, Scott Holt; grandchildren Jeremy Wilkinson & wife Stephanie, Marcus Shawn Wilkinson, Brandy Espinosa & husband Manuel Espinosa, Preston Green, and Nicholas Gene Holt; great-grandchildren Aiden & Logan Wilkinson, Max and Courtney Wilkinson and Reed Espinosa.

He was next to the last of seven siblings. He loved "Family Time" and especially together on cruises.

He enjoyed playing cards with friends John & Johnnie Goecke, Rena Graves and Bill Pelzer. Also Richard and Wanda Walling when available.

Mr. Holt worked for the Rowan Companies, Inc., and retired as Treasurer in 1994.

He will be remembered as a kind, honest country gentleman who loved the Lord and his family.

Services will all be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery. Visitation from 9:00-10:00 am. Funeral Service at 10:00 am with Pastor Coleman Philley of Katy 1st Baptist. Committal Service and Reception immediately following.
