Shirley Ann Raymond

Shirley Ann Raymond, age 69, transitioned on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Iberia Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 18, 1953 to the late Roscoe and Hilda Hamilton Alexander.

Family and friends of Shirley are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Greater St. Stephen’s Missionary Baptist Church 315 Sixth Street Franklin, LA 70538 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Raymond; parents; 1 sister, Sophie Lee Alexander August and 1 brother, Leroy Alexander.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Mimi Raymond; son, Eric Raymond, Sr.; 4 sisters, Ruby (George) Dupris, Patricia Alexander, Regina Grant and Trucella Johnson; 10 grandchildren and 4 which she raised as her own, Diamon Bennett, Allan Bennett, Kyvon Clay and Samaya Clay; 11 great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Valerie Alexander; 8 godchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Serving as Active Pallbearers are Charles Johnson, III, Ronald W. Gillis, Dylan Ruffin, Tyrone Alexander, Ronald Alfred and Malik Grant. Honorary Pallbearers are Tobias Hart, Shaquille Williams, Eric Raymond, Jr., Kyvon Clay, Khyza Alexis, Van Clay, Isreal Phillips, Anthony Manuel, Marcus Manuel, Damon August, David Jones, Neal Alexander, Leroy K. Alexander and Markues Grant.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home-Jeanerette.
