Public viewing will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 120 Mission Blvd in Houma. Burial will follow in Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Vanessa Ann Whitrack Smith; daughters, Gina Mitchell, Melissa Smith and Cesali Williams (Christopher); brother, Lionel Smith, Sr. (Gloria); sisters, Emma Harris, Fannie Coleman, Ora Glover (David), Sarah Joseph (Herbert) and Yvonne Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos, Sr. and Sarah Allridge Smith; brothers, Belvin, Isaiah and Amos Smith, Jr.; sisters, Hazel Brown and Eva Gibson.
