William Joe Butcher

Our beloved Father and Pappy, William J Butcher of Hot Springs Village, passed away peacefully and entered the gate of Heaven on December 7, 2024 at the age of 92 (93 by conception date). William is survived by his loving wife, Faye Butcher.

He was born in Widen, West Virginia on April 14, 1932. Bill and Faye first met in Widen. It was love at first sight. Their first 20 years of marriage was spent serving in the Army. When Bill retired from the Army, he found his Lord and Savior and followed the call to be a pastor. Their ministry at Grace Baptist Church extended over 20 years and touched many lives.

He leaves behind his children: daughter Linda Atkins and husband Randy Atkins, son Mark Butcher and wife Diane Butcher, and son and daughter in love, Rod and Gerry LaGrand. Grandchildren include Angel, Ben, Mark Jr, Lauren, and Sarah. Great grandchildren Zoe, Naomi, Dylan, Julia, Simone, Jayden, Jackson and Jasper.

Visitation at Gross Funeral Home, Hot Springs, is Sunday December 15, 2024 : 2pm-4pm. The funeral will be held at Gross Funeral Home, Hot Springs on Monday December 16, 2024: 10:30am. All friends and family are welcome.
