Virginia Anne Irby

Virginia Anne Irby, 91, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023.

She was born January 27, 1932 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Robert L. & Gladys (Maxey) Irby. Virginia was an educator/principal in elementary education for over 40 years. She was a member of Oaklawn United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death are her husband Robert Eugene Irby; sister Martha Lee Cason & her husband Fred; and a great-granddaughter Pearl Marion Irby.

Virginia is survived by her children Robert Alan Irby (Peggy), Karen Lynn Belciglio (Joe) and Lisa Irby Collier (Tim); her sister Jeanette Jackson (Ken); eight grandchildren Walker Collier (Selena), Garrett Collier, Griffin Collier, John Belciglio, Ben Roseberry (Sarah), January Curry (Stephen), Beth Marks (Travis) and Mike Irby (Haley); and three great-grandchildren Penelope Pearl Irby, Dottie Kathleen Irby and Kayleigh Curry.

Funeral service will be 9:00 am Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gail Brooks officiating. Burial will be 12:00 pm at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Guardian Angels Cat Club or to the Garland County Humane Society.
