Sheila was born on October 28, 1951, and was known for her sweet spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around her. A true servant at heart, she dedicated her life to helping others and was the embodiment of selflessness. She lived with a deep sense of love and compassion, always putting others before herself.
Sheila was a dynamo in a small package—strong, determined, and unshakable. Above all, she was an amazing mother who poured her heart into raising her children. Her family often remarked on her boundless energy, her warmth, and the love she radiated. Sheila's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She cherished every moment with them and found great joy in watching them grow.
Above all, Sheila's faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. Her love for God was evident in everything she did, and her example of faith, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Wilson; both her siblings, Preston Bradshaw and Gwendolyn Ables; her son, Zane Starr; niece, Sarah Auerbach; and nephew, Gregory Ables.
Sheila is survived by her loving mother, Doris Florkowski; her devoted husband, Jesse Garrison; her daughter, Jennifer Starr; and her cherished grandchildren, Jacob Wilson, Jessica Rogers (Dustin), and Jayden Basham. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Audree Duncan, Ashtyn Dragoo, and Mercie Wilson. Sheila will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, including Duane Starr, Valerie Cooper (Phillip), Darlene Ables (Juan), Hailee Willis, Jakob Luna, Jonathan Luna, and Nevaeh Barbosa.
Sheila’s love for her family was immeasurable, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a deep, abiding love for the Lord. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation memorial service will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Morning Star Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
